Hong Kong: La PiolaHong Kong has everything to offer, like we all know. From delicious street foods to authentic Italian bar – like the ‘La Piola’ in SOHO area, a wine bar & restaurant specialising in dishes from the Piemonte.
This bar sits on the corner of Lyndhurst Terrace with a cosy open setting towards the street, the best place for people watching on a Sunday afternoon; or relaxed casual gathering with mates or dates over a few glasses of my favourite summer drink ‘Aperol Spritz’, followed by some Barbaresco or Barolo…
It’s not only the drinks here that make here are authentic, but the traditional aperitif buffet they offer as well – just like in Italy! Prosciutto, salami, quiche, cheese… Starting to serve at 17:00.
However, great quality doesn’t always come cheap, one Aperol Spritz for HKD 110 (approx. €11), or a glass Barolo for HKD200 (approx. €11), makes it clear that it is Hong Kong, not Italy.
However, I love this place…
